Himachal Pradesh’s Digital Governance Gets National Spotlight, HimParivar Wins Top GovTech Award
Himachal Pradesh has earned national recognition for its fast-growing digital governance ecosystem, with the state’s Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DDTG) receiving several prestigious awards for its citizen-focused e-Governance initiatives.

The state’s flagship digital platform, HimParivar, secured the Silver Award at the ET GovTech Award 2026 under the category “Best State-Level e-Governance Initiative.” The honour, presented by The Economic Times, highlights the platform’s contribution toward simplifying government services and improving digital access for citizens across Himachal Pradesh.
HimParivar has emerged as one of the state government’s key digital initiatives, helping departments integrate citizen data and deliver services in a more transparent and efficient manner. The platform aims to reduce paperwork, speed up service delivery, and strengthen digital governance at the grassroots level.
Apart from HimParivar, the DDTG’s Survey Platform also brought laurels to the state after winning the SKOCH Award 2025 in the e-Governance category. The platform was recognised for enabling efficient digital surveys and supporting data-driven decision-making within government departments.
In another achievement, HimParivar, HimAccess Single Sign-On (SSO), and the Survey Platform were also awarded the SKOCH Order of Merit for their contribution to improving public service delivery through technology.
The awards were formally presented to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu by DDTG Secretary Ashish Singhmar and Director Dr. Nipun Jindal on Sunday.
The recognition reflects Himachal Pradesh’s growing focus on digital transformation and smart governance. Over the past few years, the state government has accelerated efforts to modernise administrative systems and make public services more accessible through technology-driven platforms.
With these national honours, Himachal Pradesh is strengthening its image as one of India’s emerging leaders in digital public governance and citizen-centric technology solutions.
