In Kullu district, for the third day yesterday also, with the help of Air Force helicopters, the work of delivering food items to the disaster-affected remote areas of the district continued.

Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said that three and a half tons of food items were delivered to the remote areas of Shamti and Sensar, which are being distributed through eight fair price shops in the area.

He told that due to the adverse geographical conditions and slope of the area, it was very challenging to deliver essential items by helicopter in these areas, but it was possible due to the efficient efforts of the team of Wing Commander Shailesh Singh.

The Deputy Commissioner said that for the third consecutive day, the Air Force team has done unprecedented work by delivering food items to these villages which have been cut off from the world due to landslides caused by heavy rains. He said – When there is a question of ration, our priority for ration is that our ration should be available at all our fair price shops, depots, so that everyone can take their monthly ration from there.

And until our roads are restored in a proper manner, the ways are not restored in a proper manner. So there is no shortage of ration in any depot. So we have assessed this thing where there is a lack of ration and in the same way, which is in the sensor, it was reached through the AIR FORCE There is also the rest of our Fair Price Shops which is easily accessible from there, it will be transported from the sensor.

Earlier, we also delivered ration to Shaktty, Marod and Mazhan, which are far-flung areas where it was difficult to reach them from any shop, so they were dropped by air force. There are two or three other places which have come to our notice where connectivity has been broken and where otherwise it is difficult to reach ration from anywhere else, so we will try in the coming days, so that the ration available there can also be delivered through air force. The Deputy Commissioner told that even today when the weather is clear, the work of delivering relief material to far-flung areas will be done by helicopter.
