Shimla : CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu flagged off 10 new fire tenders
Ten new fire engines have been included in the fire department’s fleet.Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today flagged off ten new fire engines of the fire department from Shimla.
The induction of these state-of-the-art vehicles into the fleet of the fire department will help in preventing incidents of natural calamities and arson.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the government has sent these fire engines to different sections of the fire department, which will help in the relief work during the disaster.
Today we have sent about ten fire fighting vehicles to every block of the state. When disaster strikes, these vehicles are needed at that time and we have sent vehicles today from Chargaon to Udaipur and from Udaipur to Atal Tunnel everywhere.
And in the coming time, we will send fire fighting vehicles and all these to other districts and the areas that are left with us.
The Chief Minister said that the state has suffered huge losses due to the natural calamity in the state in the past, for which the central team was on a three-day tour of Himachal Pradesh.
He said that a detailed discussion was held with the central team last evening, the detailed report of which will be submitted to the central government by the central team. He said that he has full hope of getting financial help from the center.
