Kullu News : In Kullu district, commendable efforts are being made through Navchetna Foundation and Charu Foundation to include the disabled people in the mainstream of the society and make them self-reliant.

Vocational training is being provided to these disabled children by the institutions and through this the children are preparing colorful rakhis for the festival of Raksha Bandhan.

Secretary of Navchetna Foundation, Shero Ram told that like last year, children are making rakhis this year as well. He said that colorful rakhis are being made by about a dozen differently-abled children and this year five thousand rakhis will be made. The target has been set.

He said – Navchetna and Charu Foundation are collectively making rakhis by special children. So far about 2500 rakhis have been made by the children. Our aim is to make five thousand rakhis so that they can be sent to the market. .

We want that the people of Kullu district are requested that we want to make rakhis as we had done earlier also, this year we have a target of making 5000 rakhis, out of which we have made 2500 rakhis so far. We will do the rest very soon. The work of collectively making rakhis by children, special children, their parents and teachers is going on.

The festival of Rakhi is about to come and our special children are making beautiful rakhis like every year, and in which children are making different types of eyes, cords, whatever rakhis of beautiful pearls the children are making. Making. I would request the people of Kullu, that like every year, this year also they should buy these rakhis made by our children and help our special children to become self-dependent.
