Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the central government, free treatment facilities up to five lakh rupees are being provided to families belonging to economically weaker sections across the country in various hospitals.
In the past, where people used to avoid treatment due to the huge expenditure of hospitals, now they are reaching hospitals for health benefits through this scheme. In Himachal Pradesh too, many poor families have been benefited through this scheme.
Beneficiaries of Palanpur area of Kangra district of the state say that through Ayushman card, not only the treatment of serious diseases has become possible, but through this they have also got the facility of operation.
A beneficiary said – My mother’s name is Sujit Kumari. She has undergone stone operation. Through Ayushman Bharat card. When we came to know about stone, due to that we had a problem in collecting money, then through Bharat Ayushman card our money was saved and the operation also became successful.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sushil Sharma said that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, a total amount of fifty crore seventy-eight lakh rupees has been spent in Kangra district so far. facility is being provided.
He said – Ayushman Bharat Yojana which is a big pilot project of the Central Government, under which about two lakh sixty five thousand people are registered in district Kangra and in which about forty thousand people have been treated. Insurance payments have also been made. And in this, about 50 to 55 crore insurance scheme, which we have given to you for your health, a total of 2 lakh 65 thousand more cards have been made.
In which five members of a family are registered. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana for the purpose, at present meaningful results of this scheme are being seen in the country as well as in Himachal Pradesh.
