Parliamentary Secretary Sundar Singh Thakur has said that in Kullu district, especially the roads and drinking water damaged due to heavy rains, the work of restoration of drinking water is going on on a war footing and life is slowly returning to normal due to the steps taken by the district administration. He was speaking while presiding over the situation meeting held in this regard.

Sundar Singh Thakur said that the estimated loss of Rs 336 crore has been assessed in the district so far and the officers of the concerned departments have been directed to prepare a report after assessing the damage caused by heavy rains and floods. , So that the number of disaster affected can be known and relief amount can be provided to them according to the loss.

During the meeting, he also gave instructions to set up relief camps as per requirement in these community buildings. National disaster, this is the room from where complete control is being done, we have conducted a review meeting and where and where, how many routes, where we need to work, blasting is to be done somewhere, blasting material is needed somewhere, machines are needed somewhere. We have to invest more, somewhere transformers are needed, cure conductors, poles, this is related to the electricity department.

Right now another alternative scheme is being started again in Kulukhia from Monday. Water has to be restored at various places and instructions have been given to all the officers. The Chief Minister himself who is repeatedly calling here and taking stock, instructions have been given on a war footing. But the work is going on, all the administration officers are working day and night.
