In a major step to boost employment opportunities for young people in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a free coaching and training programme for candidates preparing for the upcoming Himachal Pradesh Police constable recruitment.

The initiative comes shortly after the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) issued a recruitment notification on July 9 for 800 constable vacancies. The state government aims to help aspiring candidates, especially those from economically weaker and remote regions, prepare effectively for every stage of the selection process.

To ensure quality training across the state, the Chief Minister has instructed the Director General of Police to organise structured coaching sessions through all Armed Police Battalions. The programme will be provided free of cost, making professional guidance accessible to every eligible aspirant.

Under the initiative, candidates will receive comprehensive preparation for the written examination, physical efficiency test, and recruitment process. The training will also include personality development sessions, discipline-oriented activities, motivational guidance, and mentoring by experienced police officers and professional trainers.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to equal opportunities, Chief Minister Sukhu said that every deserving youth should have access to quality coaching regardless of their financial condition or place of residence. He noted that the programme would particularly benefit candidates from rural, remote, and tribal areas where professional coaching facilities are often unavailable.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the initiative would encourage more local youth to participate in the recruitment process while strengthening the Himachal Pradesh Police with disciplined, physically fit, and service-oriented personnel.

The Himachal Pradesh Police Department is expected to announce the detailed training schedule, coaching centres, and registration process through its official channels in the coming days.
