New Delhi, May 25:
India has achieved a major economic milestone by surpassing Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy. Crossing the $4 trillion mark, this accomplishment reflects India’s rapid and sustained economic growth on the global stage.

The announcement came following the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog. The global economic outlook is currently seen as favorable for India, with the latest data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) confirming that only the United States, China, and Germany now have larger economies.

According to NITI Aayog, if India continues to pursue its development strategies and policy reforms with the same momentum, it could overtake Germany and become the world’s third-largest economy within the next two and a half to three years. This progress highlights India’s growing economic strength and its steady rise as a global leader.
