Mandi, August 17: Sadar MLA Anil Sharma from Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh reminded Vikramaditya Singh, who was a Congress candidate in the Lok Sabha elections and is currently a minister in the Himachal Pradesh government, of his election promises. In which he had said that as soon as the elections are over, the foundation stone of the bridges damaged in the last rains from Pandoh to Koon Ka Tar in Mandi would be laid and work would be started with immediate effect.

Addressing a press conference held in Mandi on Saturday, he alleged that the work of Congress leaders is to mislead the public only during elections and Congressmen only make false promises in the name of development. BJP MLA Anil Sharma said that he also raised this question in the Assembly where the minister and any representative of the government could not give a satisfactory answer. He said that the people are waiting with hope for the fulfillment of the promises made by the Congress, but due to the lack of budget with the government, the people are feeling cheated.

During the press conference, BJP MLA from Sadar and former minister Anil Sharma also listed his priorities for Sadar area and Mandi city. He said that due to his efforts, a big scheme of sewerage came for Mandi city and another proposal of about 125 crores is being sent to the central government. At the same time, many types of development work are going on in the city at a cost of crores. Anil Sharma said that the Himachal Pradesh government has also included the bypass to be built in Mandi in its priority, after which two new bridges, parking, sports complex will be built in the city.

Along with this, the central government has also approved 9 crores for parking and nursing hostel in the hospital at a cost of 18 crores. Along with this, construction work is also going on at a cost of crores on Sakodi bypass and Suketi bypass. Anil Sharma said that in the coming time, a big playground, parking and helipad will also be constructed in Kotli so that the public can get facilities. Anil Sharma said that the State Government cannot function without the support of the Centre and he is engaged in every possible development work for his region.
