Himachal News: Scheme Steering Committee extended the tenure of Bulk Drug Park Una till March 2026
The review meeting of the Scheme Steering Committee (SSC) for Bulk Drug Park (BDP) Una was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Dr. Arunish Chawla, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals.
Shimla, July 10: The review meeting of the Scheme Steering Committee (SSC) for Bulk Drug Park (BDP) Una was held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Dr. Arunish Chawla, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals. In the meeting of the Scheme Steering Committee (SSC), the extension of the tenure of the Bulk Drug Park Scheme till the financial year 2026 and the progress of the work of the park were discussed.

Director Industries and Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Pharma Infrastructure Limited (HPBDPIL) Rakesh Kumar Prajapati presented the board contour plan and other details of the Bulk Drug Park.
Director Industries Rakesh Kumar Prajapati gave detailed information about the heavy losses caused by the disaster in Himachal Pradesh in the year 2023. He informed that the damage caused by heavy rains adversely affected the developmental work in Himachal Pradesh. He also gave detailed information about the counting of trees in the park site by the Forest Department, other related requirements and obtaining environmental clearance.
The Scheme Steering Committee (SSC) discussed in detail the various facts presented by the department and agreed to extend the project till March 2026.
The Director Industries assured the committee that the work of the project will be completed within the time limit. Every possible effort will be made for this with full commitment. He expressed gratitude for the cooperation and guidance of the Scheme Steering Committee (SSC).
The decision of the Scheme Steering Committee to extend the duration of this project will not only help in its successful implementation but will also give a boost to the pharmaceutical sector and the economic development of Himachal Pradesh.
Additional Director Industries and Additional CEO HPBDPIL Tilak Sharma, Joint Director Anshul Dhiman, Executive Engineer HPSIDC Rajesh Minhas and EY officer Sumit Dogra were also present in the meeting.
