Manveen Kaur of Sirmaur district has secured second position in the examination conducted by the Indian Army for technical posts under Short Service Commission.
Now Manveen Kaur is going to undergo officer training at Chennai Academy in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.
The success in the technical examination of Short Service Commission has brought a wave of happiness in the entire Sirmaur district including village Surajpur.
Manveen Kaur is the first woman from Sirmaur district who has secured second rank in the country in the electrical wing examination.
Surajpur resident GS Saini said that granddaughter Manveen Kaur has brought glory to the entire family.
Manveen Kaur’s father Bhupendra Singh Saini is an officer in a company based in Baddi.
Manveen Kaur received her primary education from Paonta Scholars Home School. Manveen has done B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Engineering College, Patiala and is now going to serve the country by completing her training at the Army Officer Training Academy in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.
Director of The Scholars Home School, Dr. NPS Narang, Gurmeet Kaur Narang and Principal Nisha Parmar told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that Manveen Kaur has been a student of the school in the session 2018. Manveen Kaur has achieved high status due to her hard work. Manveen Kaur has been warmly welcomed when she reached school on Tuesday.
