Sirmour: Two and a Half Year Old Innocent Child Dies in Kala Amb After Falling into Dirty Water Tank
A two and a half year old innocent child has died due to drowning in the residential premises of Shivam Cotters Peen Company in Kala Amb, the industrial area of Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh. The deceased child has been identified as Naitik.
According to complete information, Naitik had left the room while playing. During this time Naitik was drinking cold drink. While walking, the child fell into a dirty water tank about 20 meters from the quarter. The child’s mother started searching for him, after which apart from Mata Pooja Devi, the nearby neighbors also started searching for the child.

Meanwhile, Pooja Devi reached near the tank where she found that the same bottle from which Naitik was drinking cold drink was floating on the surface of the water. Seeing this, the child’s mother Pooja Devi was shocked. Pooja Devi immediately got into the water. After that the innocent child was taken to a private hospital for treatment. Doctors had declared Naitik dead.
Kala Amb police investigation has found that Naitik died due to sudden drowning in water while playing. The police have also seized the bottle found from the spot, so that it can be sent along with the remains for chemical testing.
DSP Ramakant Thakur confirmed the entire incident and said that action is being taken under CrPC 174. The victim’s family is said to be a resident of Uttarakhand.
