A sudden fire broke out in Dr. YS Parmar Medical College, Nahan at around 3:00 in the night. During this time, as soon as the security personnel present on the spot heard the sound of the explosion, the fire department was immediately informed.
After this the fire was brought under control. According to the information received, there has been a loss of lakhs of rupees in some part of the Principal’s office due to the fire.
On the other hand, after the fire, the functioning of the Principal’s office complex of Nahan Medical College has been affected.
The office is filled with water. Arrangements for seating of employees and officers have not been made yet.
College Principal Dr. Rajeev Tuli said that the fire broke out around 3:00 pm.
During this time, due to the alertness of the security personnel, major loss was avoided. He told that as soon as there was a blast in the refrigerator after it caught fire, the security personnel immediately swung into action and the fire department was informed. After receiving the information, the team reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
He told that the goods were burnt in the fire. But after the fire was controlled in time, goods worth lakhs of rupees including important records were saved from getting burnt.
On the other hand, the fortunate thing is that the documents kept here and the papers of MBBS trainees in the medical college were saved from being burnt in the fire.
