Una: Clerk arrested for taking bribe of Rs 6,000, investigation into movable and immovable property started by Vigilance

The Clerk of Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal under Haroli tehsil of Una district has been caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 6,000 by the teams of Himachal Pradesh State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau.
The clerk had demanded bribe from the complainant contractor Yashpal Sharma in exchange for issuing a bill of Rs 3 lakh.

The arrest of the clerk has been confirmed by Balbir Singh, Superintendent of Police, Vigilance, Northern Range Dharamshala.
Let us tell you that the suspension of the accused clerk is considered certain, and the movable and immovable property of the accused is also going to be investigated by the Vigilance.
Even before this, a major action was taken by Vigilance in Northern Range on 24th January. Junior draftsman Vivek Kumar was arrested red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 12,000 in Fatehpur of Kangra district.
