Tomato is grown as a commercial crop in the Sendhar area of Chamba district. Progressive farmers Mohan Singh and Rajendra Singh said that this year there has been a very good crop of tomatoes and they are profitable due to the sudden good prices in the mandis. Used to be.

He told – I have got good prices for tomatoes. This time I have planted 816 2 genetic Abhi colored tomatoes and my crop is being sold at a very good rate and price and I am getting good profits and this year I have cultivated tomatoes for the second time and this year I have planted tomatoes for fifteen hundred rupees and out of this, the crop is about one lakh rupees, which is expected to be a crop of one to one and a half lakh rupees.

And this time the rate we are getting is the historical rate till date. Presently in the market, the rate of tomato which is within the vegetable market, Azadpur, has gone from 2200 to 2400 rupees per karat and in Solan, it has gone up from 2000 to 2200 rupees and in Nahan, it is 1600 rupees. Two thousand rupees per karat which is tomato is being sold.
