Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Nalagarh (Solan), March 02: Voting against the Himachal government in the Rajya Sabha elections has proved costly for the rebel MLAs. Himachal government is continuously taking action against the rebels.

On Friday, a joint team of mining, transport and police departments raided the slums of Navagram and Jagatpur.

It is being told that this crusher and dumping site belongs to Nalagarh MLA KL Thakur and his brother. Also, challans have been issued for the tippers installed on these crushers in Panjehra.

Suddenly in the afternoon the joint team reached the crushers and many documents were searched.

The Mining Department has examined the crushers and lease documents. During this period, illegal mining material kept on private land near the cow shed in Jogh has been inspected. A case has been registered against the operator under the Mining Act for illegal dumping. This dumping site is said to be owned by the Nalagarh MLA KL Thakur and his brother. However, during this period the administration and concerned department officials have cited old complaints.

On the other hand, Additional Superintendent of Police of District Baddi Police, Ashok Verma said that on the complaint of the Mining Department, a case has been registered under the Mining Act regarding illegal mining material found at the dumping site in Jogho. District Mining Officer Dinesh Kumar said that he himself is going to the spot. Records of crushers and dumping sites will be checked. If records are not found then challan will also be issued for illegally kept mining material.

Invoice without paper and overloaded tippers –

After the raid on MLA KL Thakur’s crusher, the RTO department has also imposed a blockade in Navagram area of Panjehra. Here, challans were issued to five overloaded tippers without papers, on whom a fine of around Rs 1.50 lakh was imposed. On the other hand, RTO Nalagarh Madan Kumar said that during the routine check, fine has been imposed on five tippers for violating traffic rules.
