Highlights-These days, District Council cadre employees are on strike in the state. About 47 hundred employees are on strike in Himachal Pradesh, due to which the development work of District Councils is being affected.

In this context,District Council employees sitting on Pen-down strike in Sirmaur district today, General Secretary of Federation, Nahan Unit, Gopal Singh Thakur said that District Council employees are demanding merger in the department but despite assurances, the government has not taken any action in this regard. No decision has been taken. He said that the federation has decided that the pen down strike will continue until their demands are met.
