There is a long waiting period for Sunday Bhandara in Taradevi temple. On booking for Sunday Bhandara, the date of 2032 is available. At present, the Bhandaras booked in the temple in 2014 are being held on Sundays.

Due to reverence for Tara Mata and the huge crowd of devotees on the Sunday holiday, people tend to organize Bhandara on Sunday. Three to three and a half thousand devotees take Prasad in Bhandara on Sunday. Along with this, devotees from India and abroad also reach Taradevi for the darshan of Mata. Taradevi Temple Manager Anil Shandil said that Bhandaras booked for Sunday 2014 are being organized in the temple. By booking now, you will get a chance to organize Bhandara in 2032 and 2033.

Taradevi Temple Manager Anil Shandil said that only 52 Sunday Bhandaras are held in a year. Bhandaras could not be held for two years due to the Corona period. Due to this the waiting has increased. Therefore devotees have to wait a long time.

Along with this, there is a long waiting period for the devotees to organize Bhandara even during Navratri. Anil Shandil told that since 1996, bhandaras started being organized by the devotees in the temple. There is a rush of devotees to organize Bhandara on Sunday, Navratri and Tuesday. A total of 72 Bhandaras are held in the temple in a year. Therefore devotees have to wait for a long time. Apart from this, the devotees are waiting for three years to organize Bhandara on Tuesday.

Three and a half lakh devotees visit Tara Mata every year

According to temple manager Anil Shandil, three and a half lakh devotees bow their heads before Tara Mata every year. Due to the tourist season from April to June, a large number of devotees come to Taradevi. Devotees from across the country and abroad also reach the temple. Along with this, there is a constant flow of devotees in the temple during Navratri. On Sunday itself, three thousand devotees come to the temple and take prasad in the Bhandara.

In view of the huge crowd of devotees on Sundays, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation operates special buses for Taradevi Temple. On Sundays, 20 to 22 HRTC buses run from the old bus stand. Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation buses are packed to travel to the temple. Keeping in view the crowd of devotees, the number of buses is increased by Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation.

The famous Taradevi of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is considered one of the ten great Vidyas . Temple priest Pandit Kamlesh told that Tara Mata showers blessings on her devotees and fulfills every wish.
