Mandi: Got Power For 5 Years, If Not Controlled Then Sukhu Will Be Incompetent

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, April 07: Former CM and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, who reached BJP’s bike rally in Mandi, gave his reaction on CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s statement of grabbing power on the basis of currency notes. Countering the CM’s statement, Jairam Thakur said that the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh has got power for 5 years and if CM Sukhu is not able to handle it, it will be his incompetence.
The Leader of Opposition said that I have no hunger for power, I am only fulfilling my duty by being in the opposition. He said that if development work is not done in the state in a democratic manner then the opposition has the right to speak on it. Apart from this, even if the government does not work in public interest, it is my job to speak on it. Sukhu has got power for 5 years and it is his responsibility to handle it.

Jairam Thakur gave his reaction on the challenge given by Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi in the High Court regarding the slip system. The Leader of Opposition said that everyone has the right to express their views legally.

But after the completion of the Rajya Sabha election process in Himachal Pradesh, BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan has also taken oath in the Rajya Sabha. While attacking the Congress verbally, he said that the Congress party is disappointed with the victory of the BJP candidate and is trying to express its pain in many ways.
Earlier, former CM Jairam Thakur participated in the bike rally organized on the 45th foundation day of Bharatiya Janata Party in Mandi. This bike rally took place from Khaliar to Purani Mandi, Purani Mandi to Bhatoli, Bhatoli via bus stand and concluded at Seri Manch.
