According to the information received, Congress can give tickets to half the population on four Lok Sabha seats in the state. Three women have reached the final race for tickets on Kangra, Mandi and Shimla seats. If some manipulation had not happened at the last moment, things would have been different.
Former minister and veteran Congress leader Asha Kumari can contest elections from Kangra parliamentary seat. There is almost a consensus on her name. Asha Kumari had lost in the Dalhousie assembly elections. She Belongs to the royal family of Chamba. She was also the Primary Education Minister in the late Virbhadra Singh government in the 90s. Apart from her home district Chamba, Asha Kumari also has a strong presence in Kangra. Kangra parliamentary constituency has the highest number of Rajput voters. Due to this, Asha Kumari has a good influence on the Rajput vote bank. She has cordial relations with all the leaders.

Meanwhile, the party’s State Congress President Pratibha Singh is now ready to contest from Mandi parliamentary seat. Earlier she was refusing to contest the elections. But due to pressure from the party high command, She has agreed to contest the elections. Due to this, it is almost certain that he will be given ticket from Mandi. Outgoing MP Pratibha Singh also belongs to the Rajput community. Also, her influence in Mandi parliamentary constituency is considered very strong.

Her home constituency Rampur Bushahr also falls under the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. This has always given them a strong lead. Her son PWD minister Vikramaditya Singh is in-charge of Mandi parliamentary seat. Once Pratibha Singh gets the ticket, things will become difficult for BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut. If Pratibha Singh contests the elections then Mandi seat will be the hottest seat. The competition here will be very interesting and close.
Talking about Hamirpur parliamentary seat, Satpal Raizada’s name is still considered fixed here. But a section of the Congress party is advocating for giving ticket to a woman leader. The home assembly of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri also comes under Hamirpur parliamentary constituency.
In such a situation, the reputation of both is at stake. Not only this, the equation has also been disturbed due to resignation of Congress rebels from four assembly seats and contesting elections on BJP ticket.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur is contesting the elections here as a BJP candidate. Thakur is a heavyweight candidate. In such a situation, it remains to be seen who the high command fields here.
The name of woman candidate Dayal Pyari is running at the top in the reserved Shimla parliamentary seat. Due to Congress MLAs not contesting the elections, currently there is no major challenge to Dayal Pyari from Shimla seat. BJP’s Suresh Kashyap has been given ticket from here. Both Dayal Pyari and Suresh Kashyap belong to Pachhad constituency of Sirmour district. The party does not want to field MLA Vinod Sultanpuri and Cabinet Minister Dhaniram Shandil in the elections. This situation is also with Mohan Lal Bragta and Nand Lal. Due to all these circumstances, Dayal Pyari may get the ticket as the first runner up.
