Kullu News : Floods in Kullu district on July 9 and 10 have caused damage to property worth billions of rupees. This time fisheries in the valley have also been badly affected. Eleven private trout farms and 10 private trout farms have been affected by the floods in Tirthan Valley alone. A government trout form harmony has been completely damaged.
So far, loss of about Rs 1.5 crore has been estimated to the trout farm due to flood. According to Dooni Chandarya, fisheries officer of Trout Farm located in Harmony, the report of damage to fisheries in the valley has been sent to the government.
He also said that people are being encouraged to start trout farming again in the Tirthan Valley. He said – trout farms are reviving harmony within 15 to 20 days. Thoda sa hamara kaam jo hai alert channel ka is left.about which the higher authorities have been reported
As far as the loss is concerned, ours, which is a farm of the Government Fisheries Department, in this about eighteen lakhs, which is the value of the fish money, has been damaged, which has been reported to the government.
The rest of our illedut, where the water comes from, the one beer that was made there has also been damaged and a loss of about eighty lakh rupees has been estimated in it.
How much loss would have happened, rest as far as the private trout growers are concerned, eleven of our fish farmers have suffered loss and out of them all have been in total loss. The value of the fish money was theirs, so the value of it has been reported by those people, then about sixty four lakh rupees of fish money in Tirthan valley has been damaged.
