Everyone has expressed their claim by submitting their detailed information along with a fee of Rs 10,000 each, but at the Congress Party level, some more names have also been added to the selection process. Kangra is considered to be the axis of politics of Himachal Pradesh and the focus of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is also on Kangra. The CM’s high-profile visit to Kangra before the general elections has already indicated this. The presence of 11 Congress MLAs in Kangra parliamentary constituency is also giving them hope from Kangra seat. Therefore, in the search for a strong candidate, names other than those who applied have also been included.

In BJP, the names of Trilok Kapoor and Rajeev Bhardwaj from Kangra seat are being mentioned in the panel. Trilok Kapoor is a Gaddi Rajput and tribal voters have a significant influence on the Kangra seat. He is also considered in the good books of Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda. Talking about Brahmin face, Rajeev Bhardwaj is counted among the close ones of former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar. It is being told that the rebellion of former minister Sudhir Sharma has also created a third angle regarding the ticket. It has also become necessary for the Bharatiya Janata Party high command to decide the role of Sudhir Sharma in the changed political equation. According to sources, although the name of sitting MP Kishan Kapoor from Kangra has lagged behind, he has not given up hope. He is waiting.

-Asha Kumari, former minister from Congress

I have not applied for ticket from Kangra parliamentary seat. If the Congress party expresses confidence in creating an electoral face, then it will move forward in the electoral battle with full force.

-Karan Singh Pathania, Kangra District Congress President

The ticket from Kangra parliamentary seat is decided by the parliamentary board of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Whatever the decision, I will work with full force for the massive victory of BJP.

-Trilok Kapoor, Himachal Pradesh BJP General Secretary

In terms of preparations at the organizational level, BJP is 21 and Congress is not even 19 –

On the front of preparations for the electoral battle, BJP has created a big gap in front of Congress. If we take Kangra parliamentary constituency only, BJP is 21 and Congress is not even 19 in organizational activities. BJP, which is continuously moving forward in a phased manner through campaigns and programs, has become active up to the booth level. On the other hand, Congress is not seen taking any electoral steps yet. The reality is that there is silence in the ruling party in the name of activities and confusion among the workers. For the electoral battle, BJP had started taking steps six months in advance to strengthen the organization in every aspect. Work was done to activate the organization from the grassroots level through continuous party campaigns, programs and meetings.

Bharatiya Janata Party formed booth committees with the participation of advance fronts, cells and booth guardians. The Bharatiya Janata Party believes that these booth committees of 51 people will be the life and soul of the organization in the electoral battle. Reached closer to the public by reaching door to door through beneficiary contact and resolution letter campaigns. After ensuring the activation of the booths, now the organization is going to bring its seven fronts completely into election mode. There are indications that the assembly-wise duty schedule of Bharatiya Janata Party officials and leaders will also be released soon. Work has also started at the organizational level to improve the performance in weak areas by grading the booths. The entire network of the BJP organization is connected from bottom to top through countless call centres.

The series of offline and online meetings of the Bharatiya Janata Party with officials is gaining momentum. Parliamentary constituency level election offices have been opened on all four seats and now preparations are on to open offices in every assembly. Places have been decided in 43 assemblies.

On the other hand, Congress seems to be lagging behind in terms of organizational preparations. Efforts to activate the organization till the booth level are not visible. In the name of elections, in the early days of February, parliamentary constituency party coordinator Negi Nigam Bhandari had reached Dharamshala and held a meeting. A few days later, a press conference by the party’s national spokesperson was also held, but nothing further.

There is a lack of organizational meetings of Congress regarding election preparations. Efforts to activate the workers to gear up for the election campaign have not even started. The Block Congress Committee of Dharamshala, which was dissolved on March 9, has also been appointed president on Thursday, 12 days later. Overall, the party workers are not able to understand this slowness at the organizational level. In the atmosphere of confusion, Congress workers are avoiding coming forward and getting involved in the preparations.

The organization will be activated for the elections soon. Cabinet Minister Chander Kumar, the party’s parliamentary constituency election in-charge, is going to hold a large-scale meeting on Tuesday. A strategy will be made by brainstorming with officials of every level and elected representatives.

-Puneet Malli, Secretary and Media Coordinator State Congress

BJP is prepared in every way for the elections. The campaign to strengthen and activate the organization has been completed. The party is close to the public with activism up to the booth level. On the strength of organization, BJP will register a massive victory in Himachal also.
