Ongoing rainfall activity will likely decrease in Himachal Pradesh from tomorrow dated 02.05.24 for the subsequent 3-4  days. The weather seems pleasant today, according to the Meteorological Centre at Shimla. In the summer capital Shimla, cloudy weather is recorded which causes diffused sunlight along with decreased visibility and temperature in this area there is a chance of rainfall at night in Shimla. In catchment areas of Himachal Pradesh like Satluj, Beas, and Ranjit Nagar possibility of light precipitation at isolated places is recorded by the Meteorological Department of Shimla. Light precipitation is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Kangra ( Bara Bengal, Baijnath, and adjoining areas ), Chamba, and Kullu, with the possibility of thunderstorms with lightning at isolated places. Light precipitation is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Kinnaur and Shimla. The yellow alert is issued by the Meteorological department in this area. In the area of higher hills like Lahaul & Spiti, Mandi, and Sirmour there is the possibility of light precipitation at isolated places in this area. And no significant weather is found in the rest of the state.

In the area of the Middle Hills like some parts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, and Mandi same weather as the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh prevails. Whereas, in areas of High Hills like Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, and some parts of Chamba and Kullu rainfall and snowfall are recorded at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. And tomorrow this will continue as usual. today no large change in minimum temperatures and marked in maximum temperature during the last 24 hours. The minimum temperature was appreciably below normal and the maximum temperature was below normal. Today the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong is -1.8 degrees Celsius, and the Maximum temperature was recorded at Paonta Sahib is 36.0 Degrees Celsius. A fresh Western cyclonic disturbance will likely affect the Western Himalayan Region from 03th May 2024.

According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department of India, Today the chief amount of snowfall is traced in Keylong. And chief amount of rainfall traced in three places among these Jot received 3.3mm of rainfall today which is the highest for the day. Tabo received 0.5mm of rainfall which is the lowest for the day and Kheri received 2.6mm of rainfall today.

Following Keylong, Kufri offers a Slightly warmer climate at 11.6 Degrees Celsius with a 37% chance of precipitation. Moving on to Shimla, the temperature rises to 17.8 Degrees Celsius with a 58% chance of rain. Chamba and Sundernagar both experience warmer temperatures, with Chamba at 14.3 Degrees Celsius and a 100% chance of rain, while Sundernagar records 24.3 Degrees Celsius with a slightly higher chance of rain at 37%. Lastly, Kangra tops the temperature chart at 24.2 Degrees Celsius, but it has the lowest chance of rain among the cities at just 1%.
