Ongoing rainfall activity is likely to decrease in Himachal Pradesh from tomorrow dated 30.04.24 for the subsequent 3-4  days. The weather seems pleasant today, according to the Meteorological Centre at Shimla. In the summer capital Shimla, cloudy weather is recorded which causes diffused sunlight along with decreased visibility and temperature in this area. In catchment areas of Himachal Pradesh like Satluj, Beas, and Ranjit Nagar no significant weather is found. But in the area of Ranjit Sagar, there is the possibility of light precipitation at isolated places. And there is the possibility of light precipitation at isolated places in the districts of Chamba, Kullu, Kangra, Kinnaur, Shimla, and Lahaul- Spiti. In the remaining state of Himachal Pradesh, no significant weather is found.

In the past 24 hours, light to moderate rain/snow occurred at most places and heavy rain/ snow occurred at isolated places over the state during the last 24 hours. Within this period, The area of lower Hills like districts Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, and the lower part of Mandi, Solan, and Sirmour recorded rainfall at isolated places, and tomorrow this remains dry. In the area of the Middle Hills like some parts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, and Mandi same weather as the lower hills of Himachal Pradesh prevails. Whereas, in areas of High Hills like Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, and some parts of Chamba and Kullu rainfall and snowfall are recorded at many places in Himachal Pradesh. And tomorrow this will continue as usual. Today appreciable fall in minimum temperatures and a marked fall in maximum temperatures during the last 24 hours. Minimum temperatures were appreciably below normal and maximum temperatures were barely below normal. Today the lowest temperature was recorded at Kukumaseri = -1.2 degrees Celsius, and the Maximum temperature was recorded at Paonta Sahib =34.0 Degrees Celsius. A fresh Western cyclonic disturbance will likely affect the Western Himalayan Region from 04th May 2024.

According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department of India. Today the chief amount of snowfall is traced in three areas of Himachal Pradesh that are Hansa ( 30cm ), Goodla ( 8cm ), Keylong & Kothi ( 7cm each ), and Kukumaseri ( 4cmm ). and rainfall is traced in many areas. Among these Manali received 8mm of rainfall which is the highest for the day. and in Sarahn, Keylong, Aghar, Pooh, Hamirpur, Pandoh, Sujanpur Tira, Ghamroor Kangra, Nadoon, Gohar, Reckong Peo Aws, Sundarnagr, Mandi, Baijnath, Chhatrari received 1mm of rainfall today which is the lowest for the day. And other areas of Himachal Pradesh also received rainfall today. And this ongoing weather condition will become pleasant from tomorrow.

According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department at Shimla Current Weather over the major cities of Himachal Pradesh is Keylong has the Coolest temperature among the major cities at 9.1 Degrees Celsius, accompanied by a high chance of rain at 99%. Following Keylong, Kufri offers a Slightly warmer climate at 15.3 Degrees Celsius with a 49% chance of precipitation. Moving on to Shimla, the temperature rises to 22.4 Degrees Celsius with a 70% chance of rain. Chamba and Sundernagar both experience warmer temperatures, with Chamba at 14.3 Degrees Celsius and a 100% chance of rain, while Sundernagar records 28.8 Degrees Celsius with a slightly higher chance of rain at 38%. Lastly, Kangra tops the temperature chart at 29 Degrees Celsius, but it has the lowest chance of rain among the cities at just 1%.
