Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 14: This time 180 schools of Himachal Pradesh have been selected under the PM Shri Yojana of the Central Government. The list of its schools has been released by the Comprehensive Education Department. Instructions have been issued by the Education Department to all the selected schools to effectively implement the PM Shri Yojana. Rs 27360 crore will be spent on this scheme in the entire country.

It should be noted that this time to develop schools in the state as model schools, Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India i.e. PM-Shri Scheme has been started. Along with the country, schools of Himachal will also be able to become models in this. In this scheme, government schools run by states and local bodies including Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya have been included in these schools.

About 18 lakh students will benefit from this scheme of the Prime Minister. For this, a portal has been created on which the details of the performance of every student of every school will be available. For this, Rs 2 crore will be given to every school in five years. For the first time, funds will be given directly to schools from the Centre, which can be up to 40 percent. Proper arrangements will also be made for its monitoring.

In this, under the new education policy, all schools will work as model schools. Under this, schools will have to apply themselves on the online portal. During the first two years of the scheme, the portal will be opened four times a year i.e. once in every quarter.
