Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Nahan, March 11: The Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh has made changes in the notification issued on 15 September 2023 regarding Sri Renuka Ji Development Board. In place of Sirmour Deputy Commissioner, Himachal Assembly Deputy Speaker Vinay Kumar has been appointed Chairman of Sri Renuka Ji Development Board, while Sirmour Deputy Commissioner has been made Vice Chairman. There has been no change in the member secretary, the SDM will be the member secretary of the Sri Renuka Ji Development Board.
Earlier, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sirmour was made the Vice Chairman. Speculations are being raised as to why this change has been made before the Lok Sabha elections. However, the answer to this question is also being sought whether a person holding a constitutional post can become the chairman of the board or not.

It is noteworthy that the Congress government did not dissolve the Sri Renuka Ji Development Board with immediate effect, rather the notification for the formation of the board was issued after a long time. The notification of appointment of Vinay Kumar to the post of Chairman of Sri Renuka Ji Development Board has been issued by Rakesh Kanwar, Secretary, Language and Culture Department.

The special thing is that the word Deputy Speaker has not been used in the notification, rather it has been shown that the MLA from Sri Renukaji Assembly constituency has been appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Renuka Ji Development Board.
