A girl first befriended a young man from Shimla on social media, then called the young man to meet her at Prem Herbal Park in Parwanoo. In Prem Herbal Park of Parwanoo in Solan district, the girl’s husband and another companion looted Rs 70 thousand from a young man at gunpoint. The entire matter is of 30th January. The victim youth had complained about this to the police on January 31. Now the police has arrested the accused couple. While another accused is absconding. Police have also recovered a pistol, five bullets, laptop and mobile phones from the accused couple.

On Monday, the court sent the accused couple on five-day police remand.

Disclosing the entire matter, DSP Solan Pranav Chauhan told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that on January 31, Rahul Thakur, resident of Shimla, had given a complaint in Parwanoo police station that a few days ago the young man had met a girl on social media. The conversation had turned into friendship. Meanwhile, the girl gave him her mobile number and called him to meet at Prem Herbal Park Sector-04, Parwanoo. On January 30, the young man went to meet her in the park, but the girl did not come to meet him.

Suddenly two youths came and showed the pistol to the youth and made him sit in the car and took him to Kasauli Road. Both the youths had stopped the car at a deserted place and looted Rs 70,000 from the youth through ATM card and Google Pay.

On February 9, the team of Solan police station Parwanoo arrested 25-year-old accused Pankaj Kumar, son of Suresh Kumar, resident of Vijaynagar, Ganganagar district, Rajasthan and 24-year-old girl Pooja, resident of Fazilka district, Punjab, involved in the crime.

The pistol used in the crime has been recovered from the accused. Both these accused are husband and wife.
