G20 Summit 2023 : After the G-20 Anti-Corruption Working Committee meeting was over, foreign guests who reached Oni village were given a grand welcome with Dhol-Damaun, Mashakbeen and Ranasinghe. Apart from enjoying the cultural programmes, the guests got acquainted with the mountain culture and village lifestyle by inspecting various schemes being run in the village.

The guests were in awe of the welcome ceremony and the elaborate arrangement of the village. The guests also planted a sapling each in the village. The guests also bought sweaters from the stalls put up by the women of the group. During this, he also took a lot of photographs.

About 90 delegates attended the G-20 meeting held at the Westin Hotel in Narendranagar. After the completion of the three-day meeting at the hotel, after most of the delegates left, 20 delegates present here reached Oni village on Sunday to see the village of India.

The women of the group welcomed the guests who reached the village in traditional dress by applying tika. Tulsi garlands were presented to all the guests. Cultural programs were organized to welcome him. Flute player Tilak Vishwas and Tabla player Master Santosh Kumar started the program.
This was followed by scintillating renditions of Garh Vandana, Thadya and Chopla by the local artistes. The foreign guests were thrilled to see the performance of the artists. Upendra Pundir of Oni village told that the foreign guests were very happy during their visit to the village. Visiting the school, the delegates saw the arrangements and wished the students a bright future.

G-20 members, who reached Oni village to see the folk culture of the mountain and the environment of the village, closely observed each and every arrangement of the village. All the guests participated in the Gram Panchayat meeting and got information about the schemes run by the state and central government. The foreign guests interacted with the students of the primary school and took selfies.

Along with seeing the mid-day meal system in the school, got information about the schemes and farming for small children and pregnant women in the Anganwadi center. After that observed utensils bank, savings bank, milk center, museum, van panchayat, millet center established in the village, local grain, goat farming, fisheries, farming and traditional mill.

Police and security forces heaved a sigh of relief after the G-20 was successfully organized. A large number of police force, LIU and other security forces were deployed for security during the G-20 summit. SSP Navneet Singh Bhullar congratulated the police personnel after the completion of the G-20 program at Oni village on Sunday.
