Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had reached Gujarat on a two-day tour. He had seen the progress of adopted villages in Narmada district as a Member of Parliament. He had performed Bhoomi Pujan of two Anganwadis at Vyadhar in Tilakwara tehsil. After this, the Foreign Minister also reached Amadla, Garudeshwar and then Kevadia Colony. Here he had met the skill center. The External Affairs Minister also visited Sagbara, another model village identified and met the women. After this he had said that I am happy that the government’s plans are changing. Will take Gujarat’s Nari Shakti Kendra and this model to the stage of G20.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar said after the Narmada tour that if people promote domestic tourism by sharing their personal experiences about the places they have visited, then the number of international tourists in the country will increase. Jaishankar said that there are many such things in our country about which we ourselves do not know and even if we know, we do not tell others. International tourism will increase only when domestic tourism will increase. Jaishankar said that Narmada has huge tourism potential and it is being connected to Kevadia by road. The world’s tallest statue ‘Statue of Unity’ is located in Kevadia itself. We should promote this place, this area has huge tourism potential. Jaishankar said that when I stopped for dinner last night, I felt as if I was at a ‘hill station’. Jaishankar said that if I tell people that I went to a ‘hill station’ in Gujarat, they will not believe me because they do not associate Gujarat with any ‘hill station’.
