Light rain in the state since morning has increased the chances of change in weather at night. The weather is going to be pleasant, according to the Meteorological Centre at Shimla. Cloudy Weather prevails in the summer capital Shimla, which causes diffused sunlight and also decreases the temperature of the state along with decreased visibility. In catchment areas of Himachal Pradesh like Satluj, Beas, and Ranjit Sagar no significant weather is found. but in Ranjit Sagar, there is the possibility of light precipitation along with thunderstorms and lightning. and according to the Meteorological Centre Shimla light rain along with thunderstorms and lightning is likely to occur in the districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, and Mandi. The area of high hills like Kinnaur Lahaul and Spiti will experience light rain at isolated places of this area. And in the remaining district of Himachal Pradesh, we will see a glimpse of Western Cyclonic Disturbances.

In the past 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall along with heil, and thunderstorms occurred at isolated places over the state.  Within this period, The area of lower Hills like districts Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, and the lower part of Mandi, Solan, and Sirmour rainfall is observed to dry, and tomorrow this will continue. In the area of the Middle Hills like some parts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, and Mandi rainfall along with snowfall is observed in a few places.  Tomorrow as well this area will also experience rainfall and snowfall in a few places. Whereas, in areas of High Hills like Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, and some parts of Chamba and Kullu rainfall along with snowfall was observed at many places. And tomorrow this will continue as usual. There has been no large change in minimum temperatures and no large change in maximum temperatures during the last 24 hours. The average minimum temperatures and maximum temperatures were below normal. Today the lowest temperature was recorded at Keylong = 2.2 degrees Celsius, which is higher than yesterday’s lowest temperature. and yesterday, the Maximum temperature was recorded at Una =35.2 Degrees Celsius. Another Western cyclonic disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan Region from 26th April 2024.

 According to the Ministry of Earth Science and Meteorological Department of India. Today the snowfall is not traced at any place in Himachal Pradesh. But various areas of Himachal Pradesh received the chief amount of rainfall today In Sujanpur Tira 25.2mm rainfall was recorded which is the highest for the day. The lowest amount the rainfall recorded at Sainj AWS, i.e.,1mm. besides this other areas also received rainfall like Palampur ( 17.6mm ), Jogindernagar ( 7.0mm ), Baijnath ( 6.0mm ), Deshra Gopipur ( 3.2mm ), Manali ( 3.0mm ), Kufri AWS ( 2.8mm ), Bharmaur ( 2.0mm ), Hamirpur ( 2.0mm ), Dalhousie ALHA AWS ( 2.0mm ), Narkanda AWS ( 1.5mm ), HMO Shillaro ( 1.2mm ), Bhuntar AERO ( 1.0mm ).

Secondly, the road indicates that the road from Lossar to Gramphu is Closed. Similar to the Darcha to Sarchu route, the closure of this road status suggests that travel along this path is currently not possible. Visitors intending to travel through this route should seek alternative routes or wait for the road to be cleared and reopened.
