Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Dharamshala, April 14: District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa said that four places in Kangra district have been proposed for vote counting. Where the votes of Loksabha elections will be counted.

He said that the counting of votes of Nurpur, Indora, Fatehpur and Jwali constituencies will take place in Government Arya College, Nurpur, while the counting of votes of Dehra, Jwalamukhi and Jaswan Pragpur constituencies will take place in Government College Jwalamukhi.

Similarly, counting centers for Nagrota, Kangra, Shahpur and Dharamshala constituencies have been set up at Government College, Dharamshala, and centers have been set up for counting of votes for Jaisinghpur, Sullah, Palampur, Baijnath constituencies at Captain Vikram Batra College, Palampur.

He said that the first level checking of EVM and VVPAT machines provided by the Election Commission of India to Kangra district for elections has been done by BHEL engineers in the presence of representatives of political parties. Randomization of these EVMs will be done by software in the presence of representatives of political parties.

He urged political representatives to seek permission for rallies, public meetings through Suvidha App. For this they will have to apply 48 hours in advance.
