Tensions in the Middle East have intensified after Iran sharply criticized the United States’ “Project Freedom,” calling it a failed strategy amid escalating incidents in the Strait of Hormuz and reported missile activity in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, issued a strong warning, stating that military actions cannot resolve political conflicts. In a statement shared on social media, he said the latest developments in the Hormuz region prove that “there’s no military solution to a political crisis.”

Araghchi emphasized that ongoing diplomatic talks—reportedly progressing with Pakistan’s involvement—should not be derailed. He cautioned both the US and UAE against being pulled deeper into conflict, remarking, “Project Freedom is Project Deadlock.”

Missile Incident Raises Global Concerns

The warning comes as questions grow over recent missile and drone incidents in the UAE. According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, its air defense systems successfully intercepted multiple aerial threats, including 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 4 drones allegedly launched from Iran.

Officials confirmed that at least three people sustained moderate injuries, highlighting the seriousness of the situation. The ministry also revealed that hundreds of projectiles have been intercepted since the beginning of what it described as ongoing Iranian attacks.

However, Iran has denied any pre-planned strike on UAE infrastructure. A senior Iranian military official told state media that the incident was not intentional and blamed US actions in the region, calling them “military adventurism.”

Trump Responds, Downplays Severity

Reacting to the reports, US President Donald Trump adopted a cautious tone. Speaking to ABC News, he avoided labeling the incident as a ceasefire violation.

“It was not heavy firing… they were shot down for the most part,” Trump said, adding that the situation is still under review.

He also issued a warning to Iran, stating that maintaining the ceasefire would be in its best interest.

Indian Nationals Injured in Fujairah

Amid the escalating tensions, three Indian nationals were injured in Fujairah following the reported attacks. The Embassy of India in the UAE confirmed the development and assured that it is coordinating with local authorities to ensure proper medical care.

According to reports, the injuries occurred after a fire broke out in the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone (FOIZ). The affected individuals have been hospitalized and are currently receiving treatment.

Rising Tensions in Strait of Hormuz

The Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit route, remains at the center of the crisis. Analysts warn that continued escalation could have serious implications for global energy markets and regional stability.

Iran’s latest remarks signal growing frustration with US military strategies, while the UAE incident adds another layer of complexity to an already volatile situation.
