It’s been a year, yet the silence around the Vimal Negi death case continues to raise serious questions.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has openly expressed concern over the lack of progress in the investigation being carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Despite the case drawing significant political attention and public interest, there are still no clear answers.

Speaking during the state Budget discussion, Sukhu pointed out that while the issue once triggered strong reactions—particularly from the BJP—the investigation has yet to deliver any concrete results. His remarks highlight growing frustration over the delay.

The case, which is believed to be linked to alleged irregularities in the Pekhuwala solar project, was handed over to the CBI nearly a year ago. However, according to the Chief Minister, the agency has neither submitted a detailed report nor shared any definitive findings so far.

This prolonged uncertainty has left many wondering: why is there still no clarity after so much time?

As the investigation drags on, the demand for transparency and accountability continues to grow, with both the public and political circles expecting answers sooner rather than later.
