Himachal Pradesh Weather Update: Fresh Snowfall Forecast for Feb 17–18 in Higher Reaches
The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh are likely to witness a fresh spell of snowfall on February 17 and 18 under the influence of a new Western Disturbance expected to affect northwest India from February 16.

According to the India Meteorological Department, light rainfall is very likely at isolated places in Kullu, Kangra, Kinnaur, Chamba and Lahaul and Spiti districts during the two-day period. The higher altitudes in these districts are expected to receive light snowfall.
The rest of the state is likely to remain largely dry. Both minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to stay near normal over the next few days, with no significant fluctuations.
Temperatures Above Normal in Many Areas
During the past 24 hours, weather conditions remained mostly dry across the state.
Minimum temperatures were largely normal, though 2°C to 3°C above normal in some areas, ranging between minus 8°C and 12°C. Maximum temperatures in most parts were 3°C to 7°C above normal, ranging between 3°C and 27°C.
