Himachal Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla Meets PM Modi, Highlights Anti-Drug Drive and TB-Free State Campaign
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, highlighting the state’s anti-drug campaign, TB-free initiative and key development and welfare priorities.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday and briefed him on several key initiatives being implemented in the state, including the anti-chitta campaign spearheaded by the Raj Bhavan.
The Governor informed the Prime Minister about the coordinated efforts involving educational institutions, civil society organisations, the police administration and local communities to curb drug abuse and protect the youth of Himachal Pradesh.
Shukla also apprised the Prime Minister of the progress made under the TB-Mukt Himachal initiative, which focuses on sustained awareness campaigns, timely screening and strengthened medical interventions across districts, with active participation from the public.
During the meeting, the Governor discussed a range of development-oriented and public welfare issues concerning the state. Topics related to infrastructure development, welfare schemes and other matters linked to the state’s long-term interests were also deliberated upon.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the continued support and cooperation extended by the Central government towards the holistic development of Himachal Pradesh.
