Himachal Govt Suspends SP Rajesh Verma; Disciplinary Action Initiated Under CCS Rules

The Himachal Pradesh Government has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Rajesh Verma, Superintendent of Police (SP), Communication & Technical Services, Shimla, and has suspended him with immediate effect.

The suspension order was issued late Wednesday evening by Sudesh Kumar Mokhta, Special Secretary (Home).

According to the order, the action has been taken under the powers vested in the Special Secretary through sub-rule (1) of Rule 10 of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965.

Verma has been instructed to remain stationed at the Police Headquarters in Shimla and is prohibited from leaving the headquarters without prior permission from the Director General of Police (DGP), Himachal Pradesh, Ashok Tewari.
