Hamirpur, March 18: Tragedy struck the family of 23-year-old Anmol Modgil, a resident of Ukhli Panchayat in Bhota, Himachal Pradesh, as he tragically drowned in the Yamuna River in Vrindavan. Anmol, who was studying Acharya in Vrindavan, had gone to the Chamunda Ghat to bathe with his friends when the unfortunate accident occurred.

According to reports, Anmol, son of Ashwani Kumar, had visited the famous Chamunda Ghat along with his friends for a bath in the Yamuna River. While bathing, his foot suddenly slipped, and he fell into the deep waters of the river. The strong current of the water quickly swept him away, and despite the efforts of his friends to help, Anmol was unable to resurface. His friends immediately raised an alarm, which drew the attention of others who were present at the spot. Local police and emergency services were swiftly notified.

In response to the emergency, a team of divers and local rescue workers launched a search operation. The team worked tirelessly for nearly five hours in an effort to locate Anmol’s body in the deep waters of the river. After much struggle, the rescue team finally succeeded in recovering Anmol’s body. His family, who had received the heartbreaking news, was in complete shock.

Anmol’s elder brother and uncle rushed to Vrindavan to retrieve his body. Following the formalities, the body was brought back to his native village of Ukhli in Hamirpur, where his final rites were conducted. The village, known for its close-knit community, was filled with sorrow as villagers came together to mourn the untimely death of the young man.

Anmol’s father and brother both work as daily wage laborers, while his mother is a housewife. The news of his tragic passing has left the family devastated, with the loss of the young and bright individual leaving an irreplaceable void in their lives. Anmol was known for his sociable nature and his keen interest in studies. His untimely death has deeply affected the entire village, where he was well-liked and admired.
