Vehicle of Himachal devotees returning from Mahakumbh crashes, two killed, 11 injured
Shimla, February 08: The vehicle of Himachal Pradesh devotees returning from Prayagraj Mahakumbh met with a horrific accident on the Bundelkhand Expressway. In this accident, two devotees of village Chhoti Doli of Tehsil Baijnath of Kangra district died tragically, while 11 others were injured.
The accident took place near village Chilli in Rath area of Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning, when the traveler (HP 01D-8278) collided with a truck parked on the road. A total of 13 devotees including the driver were in the traveler.
As soon as the accident was reported, the local administration and police reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. All the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital, where their treatment is going on. The Himachal Pradesh government is in constant touch with the Uttar Pradesh government. So that the injured can get all possible help.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep condolences on this accident. He prayed for the peace of the departed souls and wished to give strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss. Along with this, he also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
