A Landmark Event for Himachal’s MSME Sector

Nahan, 08 December – Himachal Pradesh is set to host its first-ever international trade expo aimed at promoting the growth and development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This highly anticipated event will take place at the historic Chaugan Maidan from December 9 to 11, 2024, and will showcase a variety of industries with a focus on fostering MSME growth. With over 30 industries participating, including four from Punjab, the expo promises to be a landmark occasion for the state’s economic development.

Supporting MSMEs: A Platform for Growth and Innovation

The trade expo is being organized under the sponsorship of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and is a significant step toward promoting the sector in Himachal Pradesh. The fair is set to feature a wide range of products and services, creating opportunities for MSME units to exhibit their innovations. Additionally, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be encouraged to participate, with a special emphasis on showcasing their products. The aim is to provide these groups with a platform to expand their reach and contribute to the state’s economic fabric.

Government Support: Aiding MSMEs and Encouraging Participation

The Himachal Pradesh Industry Minister, Harsh Vardhan Chauhan, is taking a personal interest in organizing this event and is scheduled to inaugurate the expo on December 9 at 2 pm.
