Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Union Power and Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and discussed various pending issues of Himachal Pradesh
CM Sukhu urged Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to intervene to get the rights of Shanan Hydroelectric Project returned to Himachal Pradesh government after the lease period of the project was over and to find an amicable solution to the issue.
Shimla, July 16: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Union Power and Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi today and discussed various pending issues of Himachal Pradesh. CM Sukhu urged Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to intervene to get the rights of Shanan Hydroelectric Project returned to Himachal Pradesh government after the lease period of the project was over and to find an amicable solution to the issue.

The CM requested Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to release the pending amount with BBMB for many years.
CM Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh is suffering huge losses due to non-receipt of pending amount for years. The Chief Minister also requested the Union Minister for assistance for the Mega Solar Park in Spiti.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured the Chief Minister to consider his demands sympathetically and directed the officials to take necessary steps.
Senior officials of the ministry, including Chief Minister’s Principal Advisor Ram Subhag, Principal Secretary (Finance) Devesh Kumar and Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty were also present in the meeting.
