Solan, July 13: News has been received about the tragic death of a 28-year-old youth in Solan city of Himachal Pradesh. Sadar Police Station Solan received information by telephone that a person Lalit was brought to IGMC Shimla after consuming poisonous substance, where the doctor declared him dead. On receiving the information, the police team of Police Outpost Saproon and Sadar reached Shimla, the family members of the deceased were also present there.
On verification by the police team of Police Outpost Saproon and Sadar, the deceased was identified as 28-year-old Lalit son of Gauri Shankar, resident of village Paddy Deothi. The father of the deceased Lalit told that his son Lalit’s health had deteriorated, and he was brought to the Regional Hospital Solan for treatment. After first aid, the doctor referred him to IGMC Shimla.
During the conversation on the way, Lalit told his father that he had consumed poisonous medicine due to which he was having severe pain in his stomach. Lalit became unconscious near Tara Devi. On reaching IGMC, the doctors declared him dead. The police team of Police Station Saproon and Sadar took the body of deceased Lalit in their custody and inspected it in front of his family members.
During the inspection, no injury or scratch marks were found on Lalit’s body. After completing all the legal formalities, the post-mortem of the body was done and the viscera was preserved. The viscera of the deceased Lalit will be sent to the State Forensic Science Laboratory for the purpose of further investigation.
Solan SP Gaurav Singh said that the body of the deceased Lalit has been handed over to his family for last rites. The family members have not expressed any doubt on his death, but still the police is investigating every aspect on priority.
