Shimla News: 9-member quick response team formed to deal with disaster
Deputy Commissioner held a special meeting with the team.
Shimla, July 11: Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap held a special meeting here today with the Quick Response Team (QRT) of Home Guards formed for relief work in case of disaster in Shimla city due to monsoon.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner said that a 9-member team of Home Guards has been formed to deal with disaster during monsoon days in the city. This team has been given complete training and this team will work as a lifeline during disaster. He said that this team will reach the disaster site in the shortest time so that relief work can be completed at a fast pace.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the team that every member of the team should remain alert and complete the relief work in the disaster by establishing better communication among themselves.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the team will have state-of-the-art equipment available which will prove helpful in completing the relief work.
He has asked the quick response team to always remain alert.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is fully prepared to deal with the disaster. As a precautionary measure, strong security arrangements have been made at all unsafe places.
Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana and members of the Quick Response Team were present in the meeting.
