Major accident while returning from Kasauli fair: Punjab’s Jagjit Singh dies in a bike accident

Kasauli, 02 July: Jagjit Singh alias Gitta died in a heartbreaking accident while returning from Kasauli fair in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh.

According to the entire incident, late Jagjit Singh had come to sell goods in Kasauli fair. The entire accident happened due to fog and negligence while returning home on bike. The body was found stuck between trees and bushes. Kasauli police has started investigating the case.
Darshan Ram son of Khilaab Ram, resident of village and post office Kurali, Tehsil Kharar, District Mohali, Punjab told Kasauli police that on Saturday he had come to Kasauli fair in an auto from his home to sell goods. In Kasauli, he met his acquaintance Jagjit Singh alias Gitta son of late Jasmer Singh, resident of village Behrampur, Ropar, Punjab, he had also come to sell goods in the fair. When Darshan Ram reached his home after the fair was over, he came to know on phone that Jagjit Singh alias Gitta had not yet reached his home. After this information, Darshan Ram came to Kasauli with Jagjit Singh’s son to search.
On searching, they found Jagjit Singh’s bike number (PB-12AG 4428) along with the luggage in the ravine about 25 meters below the road. The body was stuck between the trees and bushes. This incident happened at night.
