BJP candidate Anurag Thakur from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency has defeated Congress candidate Satpal Singh Raijada by a huge margin of 1 lakh 77 thousand votes.
BJP candidate Anurag Thakur got a total of 5 lakh 88 thousand 745 votes, while Congress candidate Satpal Singh Raizada, who came second, got 4 lakh 11 thousand 439 votes.
Due to the ninth consecutive victory of BJP from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, it has become a big challenge for Congress to win the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat. Let us tell you that since 1998, BJP has occupied the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Anurag Thakur won for the fourth time.BJP candidate Anurag Thakur got 68.81 percent votes.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress candidate Rajinder Rana got 28.54 percent votes.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Anurag Thakur got 57.97 percent votes.Congress candidate Satpal Raizada has improved the performance of the Congress party in Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, increasing it from 28.54 percent votes to 40.55 percent votes. NOTA has also registered half a percent of votes in Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat.Apart from Congress and BJP, 10 candidates contested in Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. Bahujan Party’s Hemraj Mahaj, who came third, got 2758 votes.
