Open firing in broad daylight in Shimla: condition of three people critical due to firing over land dispute

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, May 07:Despite the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, a case of major firing has come to light in Matiana village of Theog sub-division of the capital Shimla.
Let us tell you that the entire shooting took place in Tharu village of Shadi Panchayat under Matiana village.
Here the accused opened fire on his own brother’s family due to a minor land dispute.The entire shooting incident took place at 10 am on Wednesday.In which three people were shot, After which all three were immediately admitted to Civil Hospital Theog for first aid.But doctors have referred two youths to IGMC Shimla in critical condition after first aid.
The most breath-taking thing is that the three injured were hit with gun pellets on their feet and legs by the accused Dhyan Singh.
The Theog police team arrested the main accused, Dhyan Singh, who fired the bullet, before he could escape and after registering a case against him for murder and under the Arms Act, the process of remand is underway. The age of the main accused Dhyan Singh is said to be sixty-two years.

Theog police station in-charge said that the main accused Dhyan Singh, who opened fire, already had a land dispute with his real brother Durga Ram.Besides, the families of both the brothers are also living separately. And on Wednesday, the land dispute had escalated considerably between the two families. Due to which the accused Bhai Dhyan Singh opened fire on his own brother’s family with a licensed gun.In the firing, three members of the Durga Ram family, Lal Singh, Sandeep and Shubham, were seriously injured due to gunshot wounds on their legs and feet.
In the entire matter, DSP Siddharth Sharma of sub-division Theog said that three people have been injured in the firing, out of which two youths have been referred from Civil Hospital Theog to IGMC Shimla. The entire matter is related to the land dispute.
The main accused Dhyan Singh, who has three licensed guns, out of which two were deposited but one was with him, the accused has been arrested and a case has been registered under sections 307, 34 of IPC and Arms Act for murder.
