Himachal News: Youth Services and Sports Department will conduct trials for sports hostel from 6th to 12th May.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, May 02:While addressing the press conference, an official of Himachal Pradesh Youth Services and Sports Department said that Competition-wise trials of all sports are going to be conducted at Indira Stadium Una and Luhnu Stadium Bilaspur for admission to Sports Hostel Una, Sports Hostel Bilaspur and Khelo India Center of Excellence Bilaspur in the session 2024-25.
In which for the boys to enter the sports hostel Una, the trial of volleyball and wrestling is going to be held on 6th May and the trial of hockey and judo is going to be held on 7th May. All the interested players will have to reach the trial ground at 10 am in the morning.

The official said that boys and girls will have to undergo athletics trial on May 9 to enter the sports hostel Bilaspur.And boys will have to go through handball trials on May 9. Also, boys and girls will have to go through Kabaddi trials on May 10. All trials will be held at 10 am in the morning at Luhnu Stadium, Bilaspur.
Apart from this, boys and girls will have to undergo trials for athletics, judo and boxing on 11th and 12th May at 10 am for admission to Khelo India Center of Excellence Bilaspur and Sports Hostel Bilaspur.
He said that only the best performing players and budding players in school sports, state and national level sports competitions will be selected in the trials.
For the trial, it is mandatory for all the players to submit their original set of certificates of education, age certificate and sports achievements and two passport photos to the local trials center.
He informed that the last date for online registration of trials for admission of players in Sports Hostel Bilaspur and Khelo India Excellence Center Bilaspur is May 8.
He said that all interested players should download the list of documents from the official website of Youth Services and Sports Department, himachal.nic.in/yss.
And after filling the application form, you can also send it to the concerned District Youth Service and Sports Officer, Bilaspur and Una on dyssobilaspur@gmail.com and Dscuna@gmail.com.
He said that for offline registration, players will have to reach Luhnu Stadium, Bilaspur and Indira Stadium Una one hour before the day of the trial.
He said that the Youth Services and Sports Department will not charge any TA and DA from the players and the age of the players for the trial should be between 13 to 19 years.
