Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, April 21:Â Special teams of Sarkaghat police station of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh have succeeded in seizing eight kilos two hundred and thirty-four grams of Bhukki (poppy straw) from HRTC Volvo bus driver Manoj Kumar.
Where did forty-five year old HRTC Volvo bus driver Manoj Kumar get such a huge consignment, which is worth lakhs of rupees in the international market? This is a big question.
HRTC Volvo bus driver Manoj Kumar lives in Ropardi village of Sarkaghat, but for a long time, he was doing drug business by driving a Volvo bus of HRTC’s Sarkaghat-Delhi route and used to keep a consignment of drugs in the first aid box of the bus. SP Mandi District Police Administration Sakshi Verma said that along with registering a case under the NDPS Act, driver Manoj Kumar has been arrested and taken on remand.
