Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 14: Himachal Pradesh Government has promoted Aarti Gupta, posted as Additional Director in the Information and Public Relations Department, to the post of Director. On the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee, Aarti Gupta has been promoted to Director of the Information and Public Relations Department. A notification in this regard has been issued by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena. Earlier, HAS officer Rajeev Kumar had the additional charge of Director of Information and Public Relations Department.

Aarti Gupta of very sweet and humble nature is such a female officer, who started her career from the Information and Public Relations Department. She has been serving on various posts in the Information and Public Relations Department for more than 33 years. Her first appointment in the Information and Public Relations Department was in January 1991.

Aarti Gupta, who has studied in RKMV College and Himachal Pradesh University, has also been conducting VVIP programs. The people of the country and the state have heard her melodious voice many times.
Aarti Gupta is the 11th Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, who has been promoted from the department to the post of Director.
Before her, RC Negi became the director from 2016 to 2017 and Beedi Sharma from 2002 to 2005 and 2009 to 2012 after getting promoted from the department.
