Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, March 11: A painful accident has come to light in Solan district on Sunday, where a youth who had come for a visit from Chandigarh died after his bike met with an accident.

According to the complete information, three youths had come on their bike from Chandigarh to Saket restaurant located on Nahan Road, about 2 KM ahead of Gandhigram. Meanwhile, as soon as they NH-5 reached the old railway gate Sanwara turn, a speeding private bus overtook the youth’s bike.

Due to which, while trying to save his bike, the bike landed on the unpaved road and collided with the iron railing built on the side of the road. In the accident, the bike driver jumped and fell into the mud and due to hitting his head on a stone, he died tragically on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Balindra Pratap Singh Cheema.

On the other hand, the bus driver has fled from the spot after the accident. According to preliminary investigation, the accident occurred due to the negligence of the bus driver. On the other hand, the Solan district police has registered the case and started investigation. The exact reasons for the accident are being ascertained.
