Kullu News: 40-day Holi festival has started with Vasant Panchami in Dhalpur, Grand Rath Yatra Taken Out

The 40-day Holi festival has started with Vasant Panchami in Dhalpur, the Kullu district administration headquarters of Himachal Pradesh.

It has been inaugurated on Wednesday with the grand Rath Yatra of the presiding deity Lord Raghunath.

This festival will be celebrated till Holi.

Vasant Panchami was celebrated with great pomp in the honor of Lord Raghunath in Dhalpur and thousands of people visited Raghunath and took blessings.

Thousands of people earned merit by pulling the chariot of Raghunath with chants of Jai Shri Ram. Before this, Lord Raghunath came from his temple Raghunathpur in a palanquin. On the way, people welcomed their idol with flowers and garlands.

During this, Raghunath along with the entire Laav Lashkar reached Rath Maidan under tight police guard. Where the rituals of starting Vasant Panchami and Holi festivals were performed. Here, after the worship of Raghunath, the meeting of Shri Ram and Bharat took place, to which thousands of people witnessed. After this Hanuman applied gulal to the people. In the temporary camp, people threw gulal on each other and Raghunath Prasad was distributed. After this, Lord Raghunath reached Rath Maidan in a chariot from his temporary camp. Holi songs were also sung. Ram-Bharat meeting was the center of attraction.
